    I know I already know the answer here, but maybe I am magically wrong. Can a drawing that was created in Visio be imported in to AutoCAD?

    Yes for the most part you can export and even round trip (AutoCAD > Visio > AutoCAD) if you follow the rules. I wrote this up a while ago, it should still be valid. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Wow this is not what I expected at all, I will begin playing with that ASAP. I assume the D-Tools items all move over without issue and can still be modified?

    Yea, the D-Tools Visio objects come over as CAD blocks.
