Whenever I am creating quickbooks products via SIX it is defaulting to the second tax code in the drop down box which happens to be Illinois for us. When creating items I need them all to be the CA tax code and for each item to be created it jumps back to IL. This is very frustrating. What can I do to change this?

    Hi,

I see this problem and we will fix it in the next SP. The tax code was relaoded for each item as some could be taxable and some not – we default to the first taxable code or first non taxable code depending on the item taxable flag. This logic will change that if is a taxable code is in dropdown already and the new item is also taxable to leave that value there and not reload.

For now you can create items from Product Explorer also – this can create QB Items for many items at once using a single tax code. Check the Create function in the QuickBooks Ribbon Group in Product Explorer.
