Hi guys – I have no problems exporting to PDF from one of the ‘stock’ reports (e.g. wire checklist) but I get an error “Unhandled error occured – Invalid file format (signature)” when trying to save to a PDF while using my customised proposal report. This report contains an ‘external’ RTF file (for the intro text, including some pictures). Could that be the cause of the problem? Any other ideas? It’s not a critical problem because I can always print to PDF.

    Thanks for any help,

    Richard

    Hi,

Make sure your RTF file is saved in WordPad and not MS-Word. The report engine we use – ActiveReports – prefers RTF files saved in WordPad.

    Regards,

Hi Naresh – Yes, I noticed that. I’ll have a look at whether an RTF that’s never seen Word will work.

Is there any way to “clean” an RTF file that HAS been opened by Word?

    Thankyou

I have run into the same problem, and I believe it had to to with incompatible fonts with D-Tools, all fonts need to be TrueType
