I am having issues with D-tools 2016 SI server not starting on startup. We are running the server on a laptop and I have set the server to (Automatic) on startup. This you would imagine would start the server whenever the laptop is turned on. This is not the case. The issue is that I have to manually find the SI server in task manager and start it manually. This also means that if for whatever reason I am out of the office the server wont be running. The laptop is very rarely turned off but being a windows pc it will force updates every so often. This was a big issue recently. So my question is:

“Is this a D-tools issue or a Windows 10 problem?”

Has anyone encountered this and if so what have you done to resolve the issue. I imagine it is a windows 10 issue but I have tried to set the start up many times and changed settings but still facing the same problems.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

Can you try setting the SI Service to “Automatic (Delayed Start)” to see if it helps. You could have a number of services starting on startup and this might be timing out the SI service.

Thanks for the quick reply Naresh.

I will change the start up to (Auto,Delayed) Hopefully this helps.

I will also change the start up of other programs to either manual or disabled.

Found a few programs that were obviously slowing down the startup and messing with it.
