In the process of integrating SIX R2 with QB, we noticed the following:

Attempt to create a PO for an item marked as OFE, you are notified and a PO is not created (correct behavior)

Attempt to create a PO for an item that has already been ordered via Quicklinks, you are notified and a PO is not created (correct behavior)

Attempt to create a PO for an item marked as In Stock/Received, and Quicklinks does not notify you and proceeds with creating a PO

Filling out the “Order Number” field on the item seems to be the flag for Quicklinks, as making up a random number and putting it there generates the expected notification and will not generate a PO.

I am expecting our purchasing group to just hit Ctl-A to generate a wicked number of POs at once, not bothering to filter their project views every time. Anyone have some advice on a smooth way around this – or want to fix the bug?

    Hi,

The Order Status list is customizable and you can change the text to anything you like.

An idea is to create a custom layout with a filter and filter that layout for specific order statuses. When creating purchase orders use this custom layout to select items.

The Project Editor allows you to create custom layouts with filters and the Order Status can be filtered as part of the layout.
