So often we quote a project and have to remove items/packages for budget reasons only to have to add them back later. Often, these things have been customized in some way to make them specific to the project. Because of this, adding them back in later involves going back to the revision that contained the item or package in question in order to verify the pricing or items and then re-creating that exact situation in the current revision. Is there a way to keep them within the project but have them not be “active”?
    Thanks,
    Joe

    Hi,

Would marking items as “Optional” help?

You can filter out Optional Items when running a report with filter (Check Run with Filters and Filter for Optional = False) if you do not want to show Optional items in reports.

“Optional” is definitely a step in the right direction. I am not sure it does exactly what I am looking for, but it is good enough until another feature comes along.
    Thanks for the suggestion
